Okay,
it's been awhile since my last dispatch and you're all anxious to see the
latest photos of The Dude, I know, but we've been doing a little remodel
project on Monkey Tree Cottage--actually a pretty major re-mod--and the
computer's been disconnected. That's how it goes sometimes. Anyway, I write today on 17 weeks, and over the past three months, I think you'll see by the snaps below that Desi has really grown. With that, he's also developing quite a personality. He's very smiley and talkative, and Grandpa Tony is convinced he'll have a real cheeky side. Not sure why but I'm sure it has nothing to do with me. The other day Desmond was laying on his tummy and he rolled over onto his back. Mom didn't see it happen and he hasn't managed to replicate the feat, so that'll just be one of those personally satisfying moments I get to hold onto alone. Desi also started daycare this week when mama went back to work. He seems to like it okay--he smiles at the ladies who take care of him--but Beth was a bit traumatized by the whole experience. Didn't help that she went back to work on her birthday. Sigh. So here you go, more photos. As always, click snaps to enlarge...
