We had another ultrasound today. Click the image at right and as you will see, The Dude is looking rather dashing. And as you can tell from the previous sentence, we still haven't picked a name. I know you thought we were naming him after you--and we still might--we've just decided to keep that a secret. In all seriousness, things are progressing nicely. The Dude is getting bigger, we've painted his room and set up his crib, we're stocking up on hand-me-down toys and clothes, and generally just getting the nest ready, as they say. Beth and I had our first, um, Having a Baby class last night and the terror is starting to set in. They showed us a video of a woman giving birth and I'm now more convinced than ever that little babies are extraterrestrial. That whole "birds and bees" myth is a bunch of hoo-ha... babies come from alien visits. The good news is that they quickly take the form of their hosts and assimilate into our world. Either way the whole process, having never been through it, scares the socks off of me. Yep. |
